An Awkward Discussion
Imagine the following scenario. A parishioner calls the pastor, indicating they have family visiting and are anxious to attend the church they've heard so much about. They then ask what the pastor plans as the topic for the Sunday sermon. After a pause, he replies that he's talking about pornography and the role of the church. Another, even longer, pause. Finally, the parishioner says, "Maybe we'll move the visit to next week."
Talking about pornography is never a comfortable discussion within the church. It is a topic that most prefer to believe takes place in another city, another congregation, but not here. And certainly not at home.
Until it Does!
Most of us never thought much about a pandemic until COVID-19. Suddenly, we were face to face with a devastating problem we thought could only happen somewhere else. Pornography, like COVID, is spreading at an uncontrolled rate and creates life-altering damage to individuals, families, and relationships. But unlike COVID, we let it fly under the radar, so that its effects are most often hidden from view.
WHAT IS YOUR PLAN?
Use the form at the right to request information or to schedule a call or presentation to learn more about how your church can address the issues pornography represents to families and youth. We are not seeking financial support - only to allow us to work with you to communicate the dangers that pornography presents in our communities and congregations, and how to better address them.
